The PlayStation VR headset, which will cost $399 (£280) when it is released on October 13 will give them a massive headstart in VR gaming over rivals Microsoft who instead are planning a fully upgraded and hi spec VR console to be released in 2017. Their decision to wait on VR until they are able to provide a PC performance level to do it justice may cost them if the PlayStation VR system is good enough and gamers are impressed enough to buy their relatively cheap headset add on.

Sony are also planning an upgraded console release codenames 'Neo' but no dates have been given yet.

Foruther playstation games announced include a new installment for God ofWar and a new Spiderman game.

Do you have a PlayStation 4. Is VR likely to interest you, and are the games going to make you want to add on that VR headset?
