EVE Echoes is a free-to-play mobile sci-fi MMORPG that is a spin-off of EVE Online. You play the role of a space commander who pilots your ship across the galaxy forming alliances with other pilots and engaging in interstellar combat, exploration, piracy, resource harvesting, industrial manufacture, and trade. Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include buying a ship and how to best upgrade it. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
Begin by completing the tutorials as they will give you a head start and enable you to choose your further path of development in the game more wisely.
There are six types of ship in EVE Echoes and each focuses on a different aspect therefore before purchasing one it is advised that you get familiar with their intricacies so you ensure you buy the one that best suits your play style. Check out our Ship Guide to find out what types of ships are available in EVE Echoes and which one we recommend for newcommers to the game.
Remember that different types of ships can fit a different amount of upgrade items and it is crucial that you pick the correct type of weapons to get the ship's bonuses boost and everything aligned.
Whenever you level up in EVE Echoes you will have the opportunity to add skills to your ship. You will be given the choice of either adding Clone skills or Ship skills. To begin with it is advised that you balance both options so you increase your chances of surviving and prospering in the game. It is advised that you use the Autopilot option, especially for longer adventures as it will take you exactly where you want or need to go and save you a lot of time.
Planetary materials are produced in higher speeds and quantities in lower security space, and even more so in null security space. Check out our Mining Guide page to find out everything you need to know about mining in EVE Echoes.
Pyrite and Tritanium can be hard to sell due to the sheer volume of them on the market at times, as such it is reccomended if you're mining to aim for ores with higher and more valuable materials if you want quicker and more reliable ISK. Go to your combat log, click on the player that killed you and look at his ship and equipment. It is likely that you were just out gunned or maybe out droned. |
How do you retrieve drones when they are deployed? |
Long press the Drone Icon used to launch them - and a return / return all option should appear! |
What does the Signal on the interface do? |
These indicate the points in the system you are in that you can examine. These can be signals from NPC ships or asteroid belts, where you will be the first to extract resources. |
What does the Stargate on the interface do? |
The Stargate shows all the Stargate stations in your system. They are used to move to a system whose name is right above the distance. |
What does the Heavenly Body on the interface do? |
The Heavenly Body shows you all the planets and the Sun of the system you are in. |
