During reloads strafe the enemy so you don't become a sitting duck, the only problem with doing this though is your tank does not have much resistance to enemy fire.
Ok some of the previous tips by people have been useless. Like 'be careful when ramming....' That's like saying try to shoot enemy tanks! Anyway it's misleading as sometimes ramming is useful I'll post some tips I've picked up from other players and my own experiences:
Ramming: Ramming a tank is useful if your enemy has very low health and if you're waiting to reload. Ramming is most effective in heavier tanks (which reload very slowly anyway).
Strafing: Strafing is a very useful technique which will eventually have to be mastered. Strafe during reloads to avoid being a sitting duck. The downside of this is that the side of your tank is particularly weak to enemy fire (the front of your tank is the strongest.
Although fun to do try to avoid ramming into things as this can create unwanted problems for you.
Make a point of not exposing your flanks to other tanks as this is when you're most vulnerable.
Focus your aim at the turret of the tank you are firing at, this is like getting a head shot.
