Don't get mauled in a fight, the best strategy to help avoid this from happening is to always stay on the move.
If you tap the icon at the top of the screen when you recieve a new blueprint you will be able to track it.
If you can attack a creature from behind when it is unleashing destruction you should be able to get in several hits before their next attack.
Every creature you encounter has their own individual combat procedure, try to learn these patterns so you know what to avoid when you confront them.
You can avoid taking damage whenever you are in a confrontation with the enemy by getting out of the red zone whenever you see the red indicator. The red indicator comes in different shapes and sizes and means the enemy is about to strike.
Don't waste resources at crafting stations making cosmetic things which serve no purpose like chairs, tables, and decorations. It is more benefical to save resources for bombs, potions, and pointy things.
There is no limit to the inventory you can have so collect everything you can find, it's more then likely that something that you do not need now will become useful later on.
