Special Items Guide

In Streets of Rage 4 there are various different special items you can pick-up that will help you progress in the game. These include things such as health items, weapons, money, and occassionally star items. Check out our Special Items Guide to find out more.

Most of the time in Streets of Rage 4 you will find these special items hidden inside destructable objects like oil barrels, phone boxes, bikes, suits of armour, mail boxes and sometimes hidden areas. If while playing you come across an object that does not look like part of the background make sure you hit it as there is a good chance you will be rewarded for doing so. To pick something up in Streets of Rage 4 you simply have to`use Circle on your controller.

Health Items

Chicken:

A roast chicken refills your health bar completely.

Apple:

An apple replenishes a small amount of health (about a quarter of a full bar).

The two pick-ups above can be swapped out for other foods, if you prefer. To do this go to 'Options' and select the 'Food' option. The apple can be replaced with an onigiri, onion rings, pizza, croissant, or tofu. The chicken can be replaced with a bowl of ramen, loaded fries, cheeseburger, ham, or salad.

Stars

Picking up a golden star will give you an extra Star move. These moves are powerful attacks that deal lots of damage to all enemies onscreen.

Weapons

There is an array of weapons in Streets of Rage 4 which you can pick up and use and nearly all of them operate the same way. Press Square to attack, or Circle to throw. Listed below are some of the weapons you will come across.

• Cleaver

• Katana

• Spear

• Knife

• Pipe

• Baseball bat

• Glass bottle

Money

In Streets of Rage 4 you will be able to find cash lying around and their only purpose is to boost your score. Cash will normally be found in the form of breifcases and money sacks.
