Get molten set ,flamarang sun fury ,demon scythe,and at least obsidian shield and spectre boots. Note that you stay away from him rather than melee.also a good weapon to use is the mini shark and meteor bullets.

use the knights edge and the star cannon and something to fly or jump high when he shots lasers and molten armour and a sharanga.JdoubleL answered:
Hey I think the best stuff to use is the star cannon and about 500 stars for real mini shark and alot of meteor shots lightning boots sharnga wood arrows it turns the wood arrows into spectral arrows flamearang fiery great sword for demons or other baddies cobalt shield lava waders blizzard or cload in a jar for obstacles molten armor set and guide voodo doll grappling hook or diamond hook healing potions 30 to 50 grenades optional and awesome music for the fight optional I played the game alot

A good cheat that I found works is to use beenades .To get beenades you just need to kill the bee queen.You will need around 90 beenades so you going to have to kill the few queen a few times.You don't even have to build your bridge that long because the beenades will just take careof the wall of flash really fast so just throw them like crazy.But before you do that you should you a sword like the night egde to take care of the hungery.sorry if this is to long.

Get spider armor and get a friend to help and make wooden platforms to run along while killing it
