#8 - Yveltal

When the statistics were first released about the Mortality Duo/Trio, Yveltal was all the rave. For one, it has (and still does) the superior design compared to Xerneas and Zygarde (Normal Form). It also had the privilege of being the Pokemon that the mysterious trainer AZ used to control the ultimate weapon and end the war that was persisting at the time.

However, as time passed and more information was released, Xerneas actually became the greatest of the three competitively. It had the exclusive move of Geomancy that instant made it into a virtually unstoppable ultimate weapon in its own regard with the Power Herb, and it also had the advantage of being a Fairy Type (which both Zygarde, a Dragon Type, and Yveltal, a Dark Type, are weak to). So Yveltal had to take a backseat to its rival counterpart, but still, it is found in the upper tiers of the competitive world of Pokemon as it remains a powerhouse with every ability to sweep opposing teams.

The most-seen Yveltal Moveset Spread usually beings with the Life Orb, as well as a Rash Nature with maximum Special Attack Effort Values and a proportional division with its remaining EVs to its Hit Points, Speed, and Attack. Yveltal's best move is no doubt Dark Pulse, which hits opponents incredibly hard with its ability of Dark Pulse. Yveltal is often seen using Oblivion Wing as well, as it hits with a lot of power and yet still allows it to regain valuable Hit Points.
